Absentee Ballot Application


In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Secretary of the State Denise W. Merrill will be sending absentee ballot applications to all eligible voters by mid-September.

Alternately, application for absentee ballot may be downloaded by an individual for the individual’s own use, or the use of a member of the individual’s immediate family, or the use of a designee of the applicant. Any person who will distribute five (5) or more absentee ballot applications to persons other than the individual’s immediate family must register with and obtain forms from the Town Clerk. Return completed Applications for Absentee Ballot to the Weston Registrar of Voters, in person or by mail, Weston Town Hall: 56 Norfield Ave, Weston, CT 06883. Alternately to mailing, completed Applications for Absentee Ballot may be place in the designated election drop box in front of Weston Town Hall.

You will receive your official ballot in the mail. Follow instructions closely on proper handling, and return to  Registrar’s Office via mail, or by dropping off in the Official Ballot Box, just outside the main entrance at Weston Town Hall.

Note, that once you have applied for an absentee ballot, you may not simply change your mind and vote in person instead. In such a case, you must go to the Registrar’s office, (203) 222-2686, where you’ll be required  to surrender the ballot you received in the mail, and sign an affidavit, before you can vote in person at the polls on Election Day.
